bosch

gingernut · 16/02/2006 21:28

We're very happy with out Bosch one.

gingernut · 16/02/2006 21:28

I meant our Bosch one.

Spidermama · 16/02/2006 21:29

We've just been bought a dishwasher. I'm so excited and my kitchen is so tidy.

It's a Bosch. It's great but I think some of the drawer space is odd. Our standard size mugs appear too big for it.

Don't get a Whirlpool. Bosch - good.

camperkid · 16/02/2006 21:37

Don't get a Kenwood - dreadful and went back after 3 months, half of which it was broken. Paid a lot more for a Siemens (double) and is worth every penny. More efficient, quiet and easy to load.

LOOBYLOU2 · 16/02/2006 22:24

not SMEG
I have uber trendy stainless steel one and it is
soooo noisy

vitomum · 16/02/2006 22:25

bosch - also get 2 year guarentee with it

BOSCH BOSCH BOSCH

Mine is 10 years old and I wanted it to break so that I could justify replacing it with silver one as everything else in my lovely new kitchen was silver. The salesman just gulped and said no chance it will go on for ever and it has. Everything I have is Bosch and it is fab. Very reliable.. unlike husband.
My parents gave us a sum of money to pay for wedding and suggested anything extra went on house and that a dishwasher would be really useful. We did that and there are times when the dishwasher has been the main thing holding us together!

MrsSpoon · 16/02/2006 23:16

MIELE!!!

Not as Expensive as you might think .

Agree with Loubylou about SMEG, we had a trend SS one too and it lasted no time at all.

Hattie2 · 17/02/2006 09:35

Another vote for Bosch here. Definitely not Whirlpool - think I met every Whirlpool engineer in the south east in the 3 years we owned one!

NappiesGalore · 17/02/2006 09:38

havnt read other peoples advice so apologies if im repeating anything.
smeg are crap, not worth the money, expensive to fix and hard to find engineers, even in knightsbridge!
Miele are the ones. may be expensive, but thisis the ONLY brand of any sort of machine that actually works past its one/three/five year warranty. worth it.

iota · 17/02/2006 09:56

We just replaced our 10yr old Zanussi with a Bosch just before Xmas. So far so good.

munz · 17/02/2006 09:58

do NOT go for hotpoint, ours has been nothing but trouble since we got it. the fridge/washer have been great, dishwasher was fine for about 10 months then we've had endless problems with it.

zippitippitoes · 17/02/2006 09:58

Bosch too, we got the 45cm one and it's great not too small either which I thought it might be

I like it better than the super duper miele one that i had before (although I liked the flat cutlery traY at the top on that

stleger · 17/02/2006 11:10

I like my Bosch. But in the car showroom where dh was talking to the man, they have free coffee and a dishwasher for your cup! I think Miele, but it had a drawer place for cutlery which seemed an efficient use of space. (At a price).

Blu · 17/02/2006 11:11

Go for one where you can put the racks flat, and move the cutlery holder around - to give you total flexibility for big pots etc.

Firefox · 17/02/2006 11:19

Which? recommend the Miele G1230 which is £700 ! Second choice is the Miele G1220 at £485, followed by AEG 40660 which is £300, then the
Bosch SGS55MC02 comes in at £300

We've just bought the AEG one - so have no idea what it is like for reliability etc

Milge · 18/02/2006 00:25

Neff, Bosch, Siemens are all essentially the same company, their machines are virtually identical, just branded differently. all offer 2 year guarantees, and all work well. Miele are fab but at a price. My 10 year old De Dietrich built in semi integrated machine went up in a puff of smoke last month and I have replaced it with this . Go for triple A rated machines, plus a decibel rating of less than 50 if your machine is in your kitchen/utility. Can you tell that I have been researching dishwashers for the last month?

stephanie21 · 18/02/2006 00:26

a nice hunky man with just an apron over his 'bits'!!!!!thats the best dishwasher!!!

stephanie21 · 18/02/2006 00:28

vin diesel would look good in just an apron!!
