Handheld vacuum

Sorry in advance for such a boring question on household drudgery.

I hate vacuuming my stairs, its such hard work thus they dont get done as often as they should! What I would love is something handheld that is powerful enough to get them to look nice - does anyone know if something like this exists?

Dirt devil do a hand held version. argos sell it.

I agree, it's only a tenner and will hold the remnants of a day's hard play-do work and a fish finger supper
