Pretty sure there was a very recent thread about castles. I posted on there that my boys 5 and 2 have the Fisher Price one and it is great. Hours of fun with lots of extras bought from the ELC range - the single figures, a queen, a king a dragon etc They also have the compatible Fisher Price Pirate Ship.
Recommend both highly.

I bought one for my ds last Christmas. It's quite fiddly setting it up and it takes up a large amount of floor space and our play room is spacious. It's been under his bed for the past 11 months.
I wish now I had bought the fisher price castle it takes up hardly any room and you don't have to faff about setting it up. I may even by my ds one for Christmas as it's half price in toys r us at the moment. It's well worth checking this one out as a comparison.

DS1 likes his ELC castle. His bedroom is very large though so it can stay up all the time.

It's one of the recommended toys in the mumsnet survey where it gets a rave write up (see here www.mumsnet.com/s/mn.ReviewPage?p=toy&cat=3

A cheeky plea that if you do buy it online you buy it through the mumsnet buy it link (or the elc lin on the homepage) - it's a tiny commission but every little helps

I nearly bought the elc one today but instead I bought one from a local dolls house shop, it is a bit smaller than the elc one but we are short of space and this one was already decorated for the same price. I bought it for my 6 year old but hopefully when he has out grown the knights and horses he could use the castle for War-hammer!
