Kindle - need help organising collections. Can anyone help please?

I have looked through the Kindle guide and tried google and cannot find answers I need.

When I go into my home screen I have selected showing all xx Items/ By Collections. Is it possible to sort collections into an order of my choosing?

Can I sort books within a collection? I have bought a series of books. From the book titles, it isn't obvious what order they are to be read in.

Can anyone help? TIA

I think it sorts them with the most recently read/opened at the top. I don't think you can order them although I could be wrong.

To work out which order to read a series in, try looking at the reviews in the kindle store - normally someone will say "this is book number x of the series".

I know the order in which to read the series but can't tag or sort this on my Kindle. The only thing I can think to do is menu/add a note.

When you find out how to do it, please let me know. I have to keep logging into amazon to check.

I can't be the only person to want to read books in order. This should be easier

I struggle with this too and have to keep looking at reviews in amazon to sort the order of books out its a pain!

if you use Calibre, the you can edit the titles to add say 1 to the first book, 2 to the second.

IShallWearMidnight I don't use a management software but will look into it. Maybe the next iteration will feature this?
