Has anyone read either:

"The victorians" by AN wilson

"Courtesans " By Katie Hickman or

"The sisters, a saga of the mitford family?

which is the best?

Read 'The Victorains' And the Mitford sisters one...out of the 2 the Mitford sisters is the more enjoyable read, but they are both good, Victorians is just abit more serious iykwim.

I loved the Mitford family one but don't know if it was "The Sisters" - anything about them is usually v entertaining.

Jessica Mitfords Hons and Rebels is a good autobiography.

I loved Hons and Rebels too. I read "the Mitford Sisters" by Mary Lovell this summer. It was well written but far, far too sympathetic to Diana and Unity and far too anti-Jessica for my liking. I guess it was a completely new angle, as it's pretty unthinkable really!
