Has anyone had a fab idea and registered it with the pattent office. I was wondering if its difficult/expensive. Im gonna ring the pattent office Monday to log my idea. Beats being a porper all my life

Dh had something to do with his work patented. he says it costs between £5-10,000 to do it, takes several years, and doesn't guarantee that anybody else won't come along and use your idea.

I am not sure if that is a truthful answer. We are a bit stressed here and he is not being very nice at the moment, but I give you his answer anyway.

He says that is what the lawyer would cost. I really don't know if he is giving a straight answer though Eggie. Also, his idea was a component in heavy industrial units, so maybe on a different scale to what you are thinking of.

BTW, the only thing I remember him getting from it was a £5 postal order which we have kept as a joke!
