I have seen a review of her book "How to be a better Parent" and was hoping that someone could tell me their thoughts on this book, before I go and buy it. I am looking for something quite light to read, have done Toddler Taming already. No real problems with dd but more for a few suggestions.

Haven't read the book but have read, occasionally, columns of hers in the Telegraph - she is a mother of 5 and the columns were always good - I just googled her and read a few reviews and they were favourable.

Could you get it from the library first?

She did quite a big feature on why children are rather like puppies in the Saturday Telegraph a few weeks back (obviously taken from the book). It sounds a bit callous but in fact the article was full of common sense. Like Janh, I've read and enjoyed her columns - with five children she's been there and got the widdle stains. I'd say her approach was lightish and in favour of firm boundaries kindly and respectfully enforced.
