We are having big problems with trying to resolve a problem with them and we are getting nowhere fast! they delivered the wrong dishwasher, they said they will call us and let us know when they can/will pick up the wrong one and deliver the right one, this has been going on for weeks now and everytime i call them they say head office are waiting for a confirmation number, they said that 2 weeks ago, they said it last night!! im getting nowhere!! if anyone knows of ANYTHING i can do other than trading standards - which i have done, writing letters which i have done! i have a dishwasher sat in the middle of my dining room and 2 small kids running around! ANY help will be GREATLY appreciated!!

put it i nthe car and take it to the store. dump it in front on the doors (preferably in the doorway) and sit on it shouting about how rubbish currys are.

It means writing another letter, but you could try looking up their chief executive's name and writing direct to him. Or try the consumer columns of the nationals - companies tend to react when a journalist calls their press office and they are going to be named and shamed. Guardian one is good (in their G2 section).

DH used to work for Currys as an engineer, yes they are rubbish at customer service. May be difficult to get hold of someone on a Sat, but I would phone again and INSIST to speak to someone higher up the chain and not the customer services people, do not put the phone down until they give you a definite time and day for pick up and re-delivery, take no crap about a confirmation number.

My hubby is a manager in Currys - he says there is no such ting as a confirmation no. Sounds like salesman blag. Go to shop in person to Customer Services and speak to a manager (there are usually 2 or 3). Ask them when the one you want is back in stock and get a date arranged there and then. If not in stock, ask to select another model which they can deliver (and pick up the wrong one). Failing that ask for a full refund and collection of the wrong one asap and go somewhere else to buy it! Hopefully you don't like in the NW and bought it from my DH's store! He says Head Office should have sorted it out quicker than this! Not much help, but ....

Helenemjay, hope you have solved the problem by now. I had some problem with Dixon a few years ago. I was so angry so I wrote to Dixon, copied to the manufacture's someone (can't remember who) as well. I've got reply from both. I think if anything happens these days, I might copy the letter to Trading Standard as well. That helps them to speedup a bit...

Sorry to hear that, hope things are sorted.
