My niece has requested said item for her birthday but I've spent the whole week with this dreadul flu bug so have not een able to drag myself to the shops. On the phone last night she announce proudly that she was going to wear "the dress" that I've bought for her to her party so the pressure is really on. I still don't feel great so don't want to trawl round loads of shops looking PLEASE help me to narrow down my search!! thanks

whats your budget, what's her definition of pretty dress?
monsoon tends to be good.

Furball · 11/02/2006 09:04

what about something like This? and where a jumper under for this time of year.

cece · 11/02/2006 09:05

Adams if your budget is smaller or M&S have some lovely summer dresses.

Monsoon always have nice stuff. Really expensive if you get the new season stuff but they might have some of the sale stock left with 70% off. Debenhams are usually good for pretty stuff to.

cece · 11/02/2006 09:06

furball nice, but if you click onton girls dresses there are lots of really pretty flowery ones too.

Furball · 11/02/2006 09:09

I know, but it's minus 2 outside. brrr.

cece · 11/02/2006 09:11

Yeah but they do get hot at parties don't tehy? or I pop a long sleeve top underneath...

jenthehen · 11/02/2006 09:14

I really like that one furball and I'm sure her mum would approve but I'm not sure that she would find it pretty enough bu I do think it would suit her. Unfortunately we don't have a monsoon nearby.
My budget is upto £20 so please keep posting any suggestions. I won't be going till about 10 o'clock.

Did you see This Floaty One?

Clayhead · 11/02/2006 09:28

Furball, I saw that in my local M&S this week - it's gorgeous!

Enid · 11/02/2006 09:34

M and S usually good as others have said
Alternatively try Tesco or Primark, they occasionally have nice party things in.

Monsoon really is the business though for girls party dresses - oh and Laura Ashley too.

Enid · 11/02/2006 09:35

ooh and try mothercare

they go up to age 6 and have some nice things - I got dd1 a dress v similar to that M and S one last year but much cheaper.
