Pumpkin Patch kids clothes - sizes?

Now that I have discovered by the power of other MNers that you can buy Pumpkin Patch clothes online (I bought them in Aus and love them) I have spent the last two hours on the website looking at the sale items. There are no stores near me so I need some help with the sizing!! The DTs are 15 months old - their Patch tops are size 1 and fit well. They have some Patch trousers that are also size 1 and a bit big at present.

Question - if I want to buy winter things for end of this year should I buy size 2 - does that mean age 2??? Or bigger?

2 means for 2 year olds.

remeber some are sized for shrinkage .eg i bought 5 yr old sweat pants for my son who normally wears 7-8 in other shops and were good until i washed them now they only just fit length wise..

did you go back a page? I've done that before and managed to save everything and get to check out as well.

What you buying?

zephyrcat · 11/02/2006 10:17

I've become absolutely addicted to Pumpkin Patch over the last month!! They're clothes are fantastic and I've finally found a shop that sells clothes that fit my children!!!

harrogatemum · 11/02/2006 10:19

probably a couple of coats for next winter. I already have one of the sweat tops with "champ" on it so might buy another one in a different colour. A couple of the gilets as they look so cute in them!!! Did you get the pic I sent MArs??!!

I had a parcel arrive yesterday from the pumpkin patch sale, seems like excellent value, if they wash and wear ok, dd loves her new trousers and top, and ds2 has a new rugby top, but ds1 trousers seem so wide , but maybe I'm just not fashionable enough.

Jbck · 11/02/2006 14:19

I'd say they were a little smaller than UK sizes, DD is a petite 4 yr old yet a little cardi my SIL in Oz sent is age 4 & only just fits her. She wears 2-3 stuff in UK shops.

hercules · 11/02/2006 14:26

I really like pp for girls clothes. Other shops are disappointing this year unless you want labels, stupid statements about how cute they are and pictures of hairbrushes.

harrogatemum · 11/02/2006 17:20

anyone else had difficulty getting onto their site today? It stopped working around 9.30 this morning and still seems to be down.

Personally I find their sizes come up quite big - and I have a petite 4 year old too!

We get Pumpkin Patch clothes sent to us from NZ and tbh I'm not a fan. Maybe they have different styles in different countries? I can dig out some PP clothes if anyone's interested - girls only atm

Dustanyone · 11/02/2006 19:50

Yes Harrogatemum, me.

Thats why I asked for the link, thought I'd got the wrong site!

gingernut · 11/02/2006 20:07

I find them on the big side too, but then if you look at the heights their sizes do not correlate with most UK shops' sizes (e.g. size 3 is up to 100cm rather than 98cm).

Piffle · 11/02/2006 20:15

God bless their adjustable waistbands for under size 3 as well!
