Tesco Price Promise - anyone know the details?

if they charge more at the till than the advertised price either on the shelves or advertised elsewhere then they do refund the difference and you get to keep the products. So definitely worth NOT mentioning it at the till if you spot it!!

Eg. a few years ago I bought some harru potter stationary for a few xmas pressies. ie. folders, pencil cases, books etc. I think it was BTGOF. They charged me for all the products so I took them to Cust Serv and they refunded for the entire purchase!!

Also done it with pjs which advertised 25% off but only took off about 22%

I was overcharged last night and went to customer services and they didn't. I was well PO'd!

What happened was I'd put 2 packs of children's tights in my trolley, on a BOGOF, and 1 pack didn't have a barcode on. So she rang it through as something different. I noticed as I was walking away from the till, with a FULL trolley from a weekly shop. I went to customer services and she made me unpack the trolley till I found them both, took about 15 mins because I couldn't find one pack! THEN she sent someone to find out if my story that they were BOGOF was true.
FINALLY I got my item on BOGOF.

Based on this, shouldn't I have got both items free?

yes - their policy is clearly stated at customer service. telephone the phone number on the receipt and explain. Sometimes the people on cust service really cant be arsed but you're a MNer - you know your rights!

Tesco's suck. I hate them.. I just post that every time I see their name mentioned.
