Feeding bottles - Does anybody else's numbers rub off?

I have a 6 month old who I BF for 6 weeks then slowly moved onto bottle feeding. I have used Tommee Tippee and Avent bottles but have noticed that the numbers/scale on the sides have worn off after just a few months and I have had to buy new bottles as a result. Not cheap!

I've used a mixture of sterilising methods, eg, water steriliser, steam, dishwasher but all seem to do the same thing over time.

Frustrating as I prefer to use the bottles with black numbering as the clear numbers don't show very well in bad light.

Has anybody else had similar experiences with Tommee Tippee and/or other brands? ... or is it just me?!

Thanks :)

Ours got a bit scratched and faded but not completely gone. Bottle fed ds with tommy tippee ones for 8months full time, using advent steam sterilizer and hand washing. Im planning to use the same set again for dc2.
