DD1 is only 9 months old, but I am already planning baby number 2. I own a micralite with its carry cot, which I have been very happy with. If everything goes to plan, baby number 2 should come to this world when DD1 will be 2 year old.
In that case (cross fingers) could DD1 use a buggy board, with baby 2 in the micralite carry cot ? would a buggy board fit onto a micralite ?

thanks a lot dears mums

flo (and romane, 9 months), from France

Hi Flo. Sorry it is a bit late in the piece. I have a buggy board on my Micralite. It is actually a Kiddy Board with a centre fixing. It means that you can't use the brake on the buggy though. I must say that my dd1 (3 years, 5 months) is fine using it, but my nanny's dd (just 2) is too short, as the child needs to be able to peek over the top of the buggy hood, and also they need to hold the side supports at the top. It works for us, but not totally fabulous. You might be interested though - I have a Buggy Pod fitted onto it - something that might work much better for you. Worth looking at.

Hello
Anyone else having experience with a buggy board on a micralite ? ds is planned for this november, and DD (28 months) is walking but still needs some help.
Not being able to use the breaks is a problem though... might consider changing for a new pram...

click on 'which pushchairs will it fit'

and then click the blue box 'how to fit'

then look for micralite and it will show you how to fit it to a micralite and give it a rating out of 10 - depending ob how well it fits

thanks... but micralite is not on the list
I am going to contact them by email and see what they say...

You can fit one on (Lascal Buggyboard Maxi fits well if you reverse the arms so that they bend inwards rather than out) but it makes the otherwise wonderful Micralite FastFold a nightmare to push. The buggy board is also very heavy and will tip the buggy over if the child on the board is much heavier than the one in the buggy. So it's possible to get a good fit, but the set up is far from ideal!

I've just ordered the new Micralite adjustable arm extenders and their new "rider" buggy board. I have a 1.3mile school run with a toddler and 4 year old in tow, and was on the verge of buying a new (more buggyboard compatible) buggy or even a tandem when I saw these new Micralite add-ons. I'll report back when I've used them for a couple of weeks. The handle extenders alone should make life easier, and I'm hoping that a board designed to fit the micralite might not inhibit its pushability as much as the Lascal one does.
