I don't think she's into makeup, she likes animals though. Any ideas? I hate just getting vouchers all the time. TIA

doormat · 10/02/2006 15:58

dvd, perfume, smellies

Thanks Furball! Just wondering if any parents of teen girls would know the "cool" things at the moment...

A Journal with a lock and a nice pen?

A silk bound notebook - WH Smith?

A subscription to a magazine? - although I have no idea which one!

Bubblebath set with nail kit and loofah and nice body lotion - my nieces are 14 and 15 and love this sort of thing - got a nice one in New Look at Christmas

a horse riding lesson

'Cool' things are mobile phones, IPods and other expensive things. You could try New Look 9 - 15 for some great clothes, or a New Look voucher (I know you said no voucher, but it depends on the store)

A subscription to Sugar or Bliss magazine (check with the parents if they are OK) or TVHITS! which is my magazine and is a teen entertainment (music etc) mag

Knitting stuff: stitch 'n bitch nation book! It's the latest thing!

skerriesmum · 10/02/2006 16:41

These are all great ideas, thanks a lot! Love the riding lesson idea doormat.

I don't know how much it would cost but at out local zoo you can adopt an animal, the money goes toward its food and bedding and things. You can also adopt Whales and Dolphins and larger animals.
