pimpernel french farm animal table mats

Does anyone know how/where I could replace some much loved table mats? Not an earth-shattering issue, I know, but these are a much loved wedding present and are beginning to look very battered and tattered. They are round, cork-backed mats by, I think, Pimpernel. I was given a batch of 6 each with a different animal on it and each mat had a French sentence written on it describing the animal pictured eg "un chien dans le jardin", "un cochon dans le jardin". I've looked in John Lewis and their Pimpernel range doesn't include these so I don't know whether they have been discontinued or whether there is some other outlet for them.

Help much appreciated.

Are they coasters or placemats?

placemats. We were given coasters too but these have been kept out of the way of grubby toddler hands and are fine. It's the placemats which have suffered!

You could alway contact them direct, they may be able to tell you here

I've got the rectangular ones and the coasters to match. We all take great delight in telling the story of when DH said ' Why do these say a dog for your dinner?' Not a language scholar obviously. He later claimed he was mixing up dejeuner & jardin but we knew the truth. He's an eejit. Probably he'd Babelfished dinner by that time.
Anyway TKMaxx in East Kilbride had them a wee while ago & I saw them in another one, can't recall where though. Maybe another branch might have them although it was the rectangular ones. I almost bought them to replace ours as petit filous starts to mark the cork after a while.

I have the rectangular ones as well and may I point out that the one with the cockerel is badly translated into French (I think because they didn't want to write 'Un coq dans le jardin' )

No idea where you can find them now though
good luck

Thanks although shame they don't do them round anymore - unusual and convenient. Do have an address or anything for TMaxx in East Kilbride? I might give them a call and if they still have them I'll see if they can send them to me or anyone could go and pick them up.

Hopeless. Company just said they didn't do these any more. Fat lot of good they are. Lucky there's Mumsnet. Will have to try East Kilbride now!

FG, it's in the Kingsgate Retail Park I think they'll have info on website, you could maybe just email them for all their stores as various ones might have had them. Drat if I'd bought them & stuck them on Ebay you might've paid a fortune for them
