Picking up zafira tomorrow. Feeling panicky

Only just read comments on here and now panicking I'veade a huge cockup.

We are 5 person family, me, dh and 3dc 12, 4 and baby of 5 months. Currently have Picasso which is 12 years old only 67k miles but starting to show age and cost money.

Been offered 1k px and brand new zafira for 12k otr with parking sensors. Includes 100k warranty and 2 years servicing.

It's a big financial commitment and we've taken a loan out for the 11k.

Have we cocked up?

I had a Zafira for ages ,and totally loved it. We have 3 dc similar age to yours, it worked really well esp. Being able to spread them out in the back on long journeys. We put oldest child in front with driver.. Big responsibility to be map reader etc, me in middle with baby, other dc in last row. we went all over Europe in ours and drove it till it had 120k miles on it. loved it loved it. Would def get another.

that's not a bad price for a brand new zaffy plus no MOT to do on a new car

difference between the cars is the zafira feels a bit smaller in the back but the seats are much easier to fold away

and another plus point is it looks less like a bubble than the Picasso

Thank you Christine and +workshy*

We have a Zafira, 3dcs (7/5/3) it's plenty big enough for us, doesn't feel huge to drive and the seats are really easy to rearrange. it is slightly easier to put the biggest DS in the front as I have limited mobility in one hand so find doing up the middle seatbelt between 2 carseats can be tricky, but if i can do it - anyone can.
You'll be fine Smile

If you've test driven it and you're happy then what's to worry about? Price seems good though your Picasso will be sold on for alot more than the £1k part-ex price, but that's just garages for you.
Forget the parking sensors - they are rubbish and you really don't need them.

I miss my zafira .

It wasn't perfect, but I loved it so much more than the Mazda I replaced it with when I wrote it off last year Sad.

We had a Zafira with a new baby and two young teens and it was a great car. Nice to drive, easy to manoevre and lots of space. It was too small in the back once the young teens got older though and we now have a Picasso funnily enough. Zafira was a much nicer car to drive and easier to park - not as wide as the Citroen. Out of the 2 cars, both DP and I preferred the Zafira, but the Picasso suits us better at the moment.

Not sure what aspect you are worried about ?
We have 3 dc and are currently on our 3rd Zafira - just love the flexibility, and it's roomy on the inside without feeling like you're driving a minibus.

Was worried about the whole reliability bit as deisel and got the filter thing. Also safety and space. Silly I know but I worry when it's a lot of money. I'll miss Picasso too but it's going to start getting expensive to repair. Will need cambelt soon, and exhaust.

Hi we are going to have to part with our 16yr old Galaxy very soon, the clutch is going on it. Its been a brilliant car, so comfy and so much room. Our triplets are turned 14 so its really 5 adults in the car now, my dh has cancer and we are now restricted to holidays in the UK selfcatering so we need space. Our BIG problem is money, we can spend no more than £7k to replace it, we have looked at the Zafira but it just felt so small once we were all in it. The new Galaxy is out of the question, far too expensive even at 5/6 yrs old and like wise the Picasso..............need to win the lottery!!
