That you can buy this "stuff" which you put in a bowl, then put it in a shed or a bathroom and it absorbs all the moisture and every so often you put it in the microwave and dry it out

Does ANYONE have ANY idea what she is on about??

Silica gel - absorbs moisture from the air

Probably sold under a brand name

katymac · 05/02/2006 11:38

Hardware shops for the loose gel crystals. Or try Betterware/Kleeneze type catalogues for gel in containers which you replace when saturated

katymac · 05/02/2006 20:21

Thanks - I'll try our 3 local H/W places tomorrow

Betterware don't have it

Kleeneze don't do an on-line shop

JoolsToo · 05/02/2006 20:28

No it was great - just make sure you go regularly to empty the dishes or everywhere will be soaked!

nitfreecod · 05/02/2006 20:29

nitfreecod · 05/02/2006 20:31

katymac · 05/02/2006 20:33

S'OK I can just put it into a ice cream tub

Can you re-charge them (by drying them out?)

OP posts:
JoolsToo · 05/02/2006 20:36

don't know - never tried it

we had a couple of the proper dishes and plastic ice cream tubs - like I said make sure you go and empty them
