Has anyone seen any 3 for 2 offers or buy 1 get 1 1/2 price offers that would cover gifts for a 7 yr old boy?

I've looked on Toysrus and Woolies web sites and seen nothing.

Anyone seen anything out there?

I bought a pressie in Sainsbury's tonite, £2.99. It's a lego car kit thing, in a box shaped like a wheel. (!!) It's a perfectly good "token" present, i don't know the boy, never heard him mentioned before, but DS has been invited out after school next week.

If you just need a pressie for a party, i would think it would be fine. Certainly better than a lot of the cr*p some people buy!!

The Book People have some brilliant packs of books you could split, often 10 books for £10.

the book people are in nursery today, I'll look at their stuff, thanks.

The book people books were a bit young or too expensive.

That Soccer shop that you see on retail estates is it Soccer World? They do leather footballs for less than £3.

ssd · 01/02/2006 20:43

didn't see those , mind you was in a hurry to get out, was with ds and little friend, I'd phoned earlier to ask the staff if they had an item ds has wanted for ages, staff member said they had it, ds rushed his lunch down and we flew there like the wind, then found out the wrong thing had been put aside and they didn't in fact have what ds wanted - cue a very dissappointed 4 yr old, hassled mother and bored and disinterested staff...................
