Help! Collapsing Tripp Trapp chair.

My ds's Tripp Trapp chair keeps collapsing under him! The slide in seat and footrest both keep sliding out from the frame and landing with a massive clatter on the floor, and have twice dumped ds rather unceremoniously on the floor too.
He is extremely wriggly and kicks his legs against the footrest but surely this shouldn't be happening! Does anyone have any experience of this and any ideas on how to prevent it. The chair is fantastic at lifting him to a decent height at the table, but is becoming positively dangerous.

Probably very obvious but have you retightened all the bolts with the Allen key. The pressure from the frame retains the seat and footrest ime.

Thanks!
(have I ever mentioned that I LOVE Mumsnet?)

LIZS is right. Be sure to hold onto the metal tubey bit while tightening.
