Can I just say thanks to all who contributed on the recent thread about Lidl's? I went today for the first time with my mum and dd1, armed with a list of goodies that mumsnet recommend. It's great! Way cheaper than Tesco, not as busy, and there are some real bargains to be had (am a big cheese eater and Emmental was around £4.79/kg - this is approx half the price we pay in Tesco, fresh leeks approx £0.49/kg compared to £1.38 at Tesco, pack of 3 huge peppers £0.64). Will def. be going back, had a great morning out (need to get out more, me thinks)!
