Amazing Ally - Anyone got one?

Anyone got Aazing Ally? It is top of my dds wish list for christmas, but as it costs a fortune I am loathe to buy it if its a 5 minute wonder. Anyone got any views on this?

My friend bought it for her little girl last Christmas (she was nearly 5). It was put away shortly after as she wasn't old enough for it. There are little cassettes that you load and my friend was concerned that they'd get lost or broken. R.
