An option the flooring for our kitchen dining room is flotex, possibly over underfloor heating - does any one have experience of flotex - good or bad ?

(I think my brain is going to explode with all these options for flooring and heating )

is it a kind of waterproof carpety stuff?

Dh suggested it for our utility room because he wanted to keep the original tiles (which I don't like) and cover them with something that would cause minimum damage.

I wasn't keen and when I saw the full range of colours etc available refused point blank to have it.

Sorry!

PIL's have it in their kitchen/diner and I loathe it , sorry. Seems really old fashioned and ,especially with underfloor heating, ceramic tiles would look and feel much nicer imho.

yep - have just gone through their range on the net - it is comprehensively hideous
