Snow Globes

Someone asked where to get nice snow globes recently but I can't find the thread. I've just gone through my pile of catalogues to make a start on writing Xmas lists and came up with a few.

Past Times at www.past-times.com had 3 OK ones, fairies for £18, Xmas train for £15 and Xmas sweethearts for £15

Initial Ideas at www.initialideas.co.uk have got a make-your-own snow globe kit for 5.99

English Heritage at www.english-heritage.org.uk/shop has a Stone Henge one!!!!!

I also saw quite a nice Xmas one in M&S

there's a beautiful (musical!) one in Liberty's christmas dept (expensive, around £30 I think but truly tasteful) - a real winter wonderland if you're in London and fancy a look. 4th floor I think.

B&Q do a Thomas Tank Engine one. Ds had to be peeled off it in the shop yesterday.

Davros - thanks! It was me! I have also been recommended one from Waterstones which is another DIY kit, but I'll check out the links you mention. The key thing for us is not getting anything too fragile (or expensive) as DD broke the cheap plastic one we got last year within a couple of months!

H Samuel have got a lovely 'The Snowman' one in. More of an ornament than a toy though
