Bed for 3yo

I was thinking of putting ds aged 3.3 into one of those bunk beds with a slide and tent, would link but can't find one online! In your experiences will a child this age be ok, or will he possibly injure/maim himself and try to jump off it??!
TIA for opinions

Depends on the height - some are not recommended for children under 5/6

Mid height would probably be ok dependign on temperament. Argos and Ikea have some. We have Flexa beds which can start off as a low level bed and can be added to later with ladder, slide, towers , tents, bunks etc. dd is still at low level although she's almost 4 1/2, ds went mid height at 4.

Great link- thanks! Expensive aren't they, or is that just me- kids beds are ££ and I have a shock in store?!

They are on the pricier side and Argos etc are cheaper for similar but less adaptable. We have only ever bought it 20% or more off rrp but our local supplier is moving . Got dd's in Switzerland just before we left where it was loads cheaper due to lower VAT !

Worth it though if it can grow as they grow

DSs both had these from around 2.5 Only DS2 has managed to fall out of his when he tried to climb down without using the ladder (no slide on his). They are, IMO, quite safe because the rails round the edge stand proud of the mattress.

You need a lot of clearance at the end of the slide so they're only suitable for a large bedroom.
