scratch mitts that my daughter will not be able to remove!!

I have a lovely but rather heavy handed 6mo DD. Without scratch mitts, she gets in a tizzy when tired and claws her own face hard enough to draw blood. So I put her little hands in mitts each time. Trouble is, she has now become clever enough to remove them with her mouth. Someone told me they had seen some clever invention where scratch mitts are attached to a sort of bolero type thing. But I can't find it. Any suggestions to save me digging the sewing machine out??

We put socks on DS1 as scratch mitts. Blush

never would have thought of that! Thanks! She has some socks which she's just about grown out of. Might see if they stay on better than mitts.

I have long mittens like you're describing - got them online and they're called Snuguns
Here is a link(if it works!) www.snuguns.com/

Socks up to the elbow, then the babygrow over the top.

Is it only newborn/tiny size babygros that have scratch mits in them?
A friend recently had a baby and I bought newborn babygros from 2 different places (M&S and mothercare) and both had the mits attached that you just fold over - makes it so much easier!
I would have thought they would go up to 6 months

It sounds to me like you are talking about scratch sleeves. My daughter uses these and they've worked really well for us.
