Kitchens - anyone got one from Wickes??

Hoping to get our kitchen done this year and take advantage of some sale prices. Know quite a few people who have got them fro MFI and are pleased with them but had a look yesterday and not that impressed with the quality. Had a look on the Wickes website and they seem quite good (obviously need to go and have a look!) but dont know anyone who got one from Wickes???

Any other advice about getting a new kitchen would be appreciated!

Thanks

We got ours from Wickes. The whole unit was still left in our back room in boxes 6 months later after we bought it, dp isn't a big fan of D.I.Y, he's good at buying it but c**p at putting it together. When we finally got round to opening the contents, we noticed quite a few items missing. Eventually we got back all the missing bits from the store but not without a big hassle. Our fault though for not checking in the first place, but just to be on the safe side make sure you've got all your bits before you start, it can be blimen annoying otherwise. I don't know if we were just unlucky though or whether this is quite common with wickes.

If you're getting a builder to put your kitchen in, ask if he has a trade account at Wickes. Alhtough the trade selection is a not as large as the retail selection there is still plenty to choose from. We found one we liked and saved around 30% off the retail price by getting the builder to buy it and then we paid him for it. Have you thought of Ikea at all - they do some lovely kitchens too.

We had a Wickes kitchen fitted four years ago now - fantastic quality - couldn't fault it at all - would definitely recommend them.
