Can anyone help? I just want a globe, that spins round, doesn't talk, isn't made of primary colurs and doesn't cost...the earth (boom boom). Toys r Us and John Lewis sites are no good - anywhere else?

Please. Thanks

How much are you willing to spend?

Welshmum · 16/11/2003 07:48

Are you anywhere near London? There's a map shop on Longacre, Covent Garden called Stampfords and they've got loads - all different sorts. Don't know if they have a mail order service though - you could ring them

Twink · 16/11/2003 07:51

I got one from the DIscovery Store they don't have them online but they had quite a few different ones in the shop.

futurity · 16/11/2003 08:37

I got my husband one a couple of years ago from a shop in Bluewater. Can't remember the name though sorry.

mands1 · 16/11/2003 09:08

Woolies have a large illuminated one for £9.99.

Grommit · 16/11/2003 10:09

ELC have one that lights up

whymummy · 16/11/2003 11:25

yes,i got a really nice one from whs,i also saw some "old fashion" looking in debenhams

Tinker · 16/11/2003 13:29

Just been into Woolies and they only had the one that talks for 24.99. From the sound of it, batteries would be removed by 10:00 Christmas morning. Also, a bit too young for my daughter (6). The only other ones I've seen are about £70 to £90 - too much for me. Just wanted this to be anotehr present, not the big one, which it would be at that price. Just want a simple, plain, revolving globe like we had a school - not too big. Would pay £20 to £25 if it was what I want. Not checked out Smiths yet or The Discovery Store. Thanks so far
