Combi Microwaves

Are they any good, do they actual bake and roast. I need a new microwave and wondered if it was worth getting a combi. I spoke to a woman who bakes and uses it for everything, she doesn't even have a normal oven now.

mom hasnt had a normal oven since 1987.
i grew up never having used a normal oven.
you can do everything in the microwave that can be done in a normal ooven, but its better in the microwave! except if you are cooking a massively oversized turky. then the bigger size of thhe oven is handy.

do you mean just a microwave or a combi oven.

combination. with the convection and grill, and the option to use both together. so you get microwaves at the same time as a 180 degree heat.
mom has had her's since 1987. with no plans to change it unless it dies, and it doesnt appear to be anywhere near that stage yet.

Thanks I alaways run out of space in my oven so it would be good to have this option too.

i find it most useful when doing a roast dinner, as i can do the veg in the microwave whilst the turky is in the oven!
but for things like bread and pizza, and cookies,i usually use the microwave as their is no likelihood of forgetting it and hhaving burnt toast to deal with. i dont really bother making cakes anymore as far too much hassle, but mom does all her baking in the microwwwave.
