... and if so what do you think. Good and bad points please. DH has asked me to post this.
The one he is looking at seems a bit expensive to me - £10,000 for a 2002 model (Elite). So views on that would be appreciated as well.

We've just bought one chick, about the same price for the same make, depends on the mileage. I must say we are impressed. Being a Honda they have bullet proof engines, it's quite nippy even though it's very heavy, holds the road well, huge boot, back seats can be moved forwards to make boot even bigger. Down side....parking it is a nightmare (Dh has less trouble!) ours has no cruise control (but then again you could argue that what 4x4 would use cruise control!)...apart from that I'm struggling to think of bad points...also hugely comfortable on those long journeys. We'd buy another no questions!

We looked at one but went for the Toyota Rav4 instead, mainly becuase it felt more comfortable for me to drive. I found trying to park the CRV quite awkward but find the Rav4 really easy and light. Not sure what they are like for price comparisons though.

We have, very sadly, just sold ours due to an international move. It was a fantastic car, brilliant if you have kids, bicycles, dirty boots, big prams and buggies etc. It was a dream to drive and we drove it all over Europe. We had it for 6 years (I think) and never had one single problem with it, the only thing we had to do was change a head lamp bulb! Very easy to do ourselves. I never found parking to be a problem because you have very good vision all around due to being slightly higher than the average car. I did the test driving when we were looking to buy and we finally narrowed our choice down to a BMW (for posey city chic) or the CRV (to fit our outside life style) the CRV won hands down after driving both. You can get a bike rack on the back from Halfords and load the bikes on too. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! I want to buy another one right now!

Thanks for your responses. I'm a bit more interested now
