Lidl ladies - fruit juice question?

I usually just buy chocolate & little cakes/filled croissants at ours but after all the avice here, on Saturday I took the plunge & bought some other bits & pieces. Bought the apple juice with the yellow top which kind of screws into itself to open the hygiene seal but it seems to leak juice every time I pour some out. Is it just me or do you all find this. I'm all for economy but I'll spend so much more on kitchen roll mopping up it won't be worth it

why dont you decant it into a jug?

Janh · 18/01/2006 10:45

The pressed apple, in the black carton?

SorenLorensen · 18/01/2006 10:54

"Lidl ladies" sounds like a cheesy cowboy "c,mon, lidl ladies...take a ride on ma horse."

Jbck · 18/01/2006 13:32

Only have one suitable jug for fridge & we've always got about 3 juices on the go at once so I'd have no room for anything else on top shelf. It's called Vitafit, green carton with an apple on it. 1.5l for about 60p.
SL don't get many cheesy cowboys in the Glasgow suburbs so I'll bow to your superior knowledge of horsey chat-up lines

Jbck, try the pressed apple in the black carton then - it's delish and it's in a tall narrow carton so you can lay it on a shelf (with the cap at the top ideally ). About 65p for 1 litre so more expensive but worth it.

moowoman, you are nuts

Where is it leaking out of? Just checked mine and it seems ok. You could try cutting one of the corners off and pouring it coventionally? Or just drink it all very quickly.

P.S Lidl kitchen roll £1.29 for 4 rolls - not bad quality either in case the corner thing doesn't work!

gggl! hello!

All the penny flights have gone now . DH says I should come on my own; it would certainly be easier to fit in if I didn't have to worry about school dates - whaddya think?

Just read your Lidl thread - lol! You'll have to come and stay here and visit the incredibly classy Accrington joint with me

Do you have a functioning French landline these days? (I know I should catch you on msn but am up to neck in w*rk atm and msn is too enjoyable )

jetlagdZebra · 18/01/2006 14:18

That apple juice you bought sucks, Jbck. I stopped buying it for months but DH bought some by accident (against instrux) the other day... so far, so good. It isn't leaking. Maybe it was just a terrible batch they are slowling selling off.

we normally take the yellow bit off
