BEWARE anyone considering booking a photoshoot with Venture Photography in Glasgow. Booked and paid for Family photoshoot but left empty handed and £25 down.
I bought this through Groupon. We had used Venture in the past so didn't check uptodate reviews - for this I could kick myself. Read the reviews as there are over 100 complaints.
The details...I bought and paid for a family photoshoot however my children aren't considered the correct criteria for 'family'. This should be the entire family, although if you look up 'family' in the dictionary, it contradicts them.
I was told that if I paid a further £25 I would get a 10x10 inch photograph. I was happy to do this as it was 2 inches bigger than the Groupon deal. We did the photoshoot of the kids.
After the photoshoot the photographer pointed to the frame I would be getting. I pointed out that the photo wasn't 10x10 inches. The photographer said she wasn't sure but could measure it if I liked. It was 6x6 inches. The frame measured 10x10.
Unhappy with this, the photographer called the manager who agreed to give me the original 8x10 photo for £25. I was refunded the additional £25. However...
...when I went to select my photograph, the saleswoman said, 'I know my colleague agreed the 8x10, but she wasn't authorised to do so, so we're going to allow you to get a 5x7 print.' If I haven't got the words exactly right, please don't sue.
Hello...I'm I a leming? I don't think so! I should have been given the 8x10 inch photo as promised at the photoshoot!!!!!! Poor customer service Venture...and it gets worse!
The owner, Laura Jackson, called me the following morning arguing her case. Your not in a court of law now Laura! But I was certainly treated as if I was!!!!! It was left with Laura going to check with her colleagues whether I was given the option of 8x10 photo. I gave Laura 5 days to check and come back to me, which she never did.
Poor show!!!!! But as I said, with over 100 poor reviews already, what difference is one extra going to make to her. Not a jot I expect!
What surprises me most is that her address is printed on the Internet! With all these angry customers Laura, I would move if you haven't already done so!!!!
