I have a Mamas a nd Papas prima pappa highchair and find that when I put my 16 month daughter in it, the tray come up to her shoulder height and she finds it difficult to look whats in her bowl let alone eat it. I was thinking of changing it for the Tripp Trapp highchair????. Before I spend out could anyone give me some advice as to whether or not to buy one

We have a Tripp Trapp. Got it when DD was 5 months. She is now in it as a chair, age 3y9m. Fantastic. Dead easy to keep clean IME, looks great and will last forever. We love it and use it as a "higher" chair at the table, computer desk, when eating, crafting and playing.

At what age do they recommend you stop using the baby pack? and what is it. Do the reigns come with the standard chair or the baby pack

You just use normal reins with the chair.

No idea on what the recommended age for stopping the baby kit is. But we stopped using the baby kit quite earlier, before 18 months. But we never left DD in the chair on her own.

I too started off with a Prima Pappa and hated it - DS used to 'slouch' in it and was so fiddly to clean. Sold it on ebay and bought tripp trapp - love it! He's always sat upright and is so easy to clean. I don't use any reigns on it as he can't get out of it himself (yet) and he's 16 months old.

another vote for tripp trapp chair here (i love them, think they are great!)

have you seen the one thats pretty much the same by Tchibo.... think its only about £30 so may be worth researching first!

I've got 2 Tripp Trapps (ner) that we've had for about 9 years. They're both great and now used for computer, art etc. Be warned, if you've got a bar height table, such a breakfast bar, it will be too low. If its a normal table you'll be fine. We use a Handysitt at our breakfast bar thingy.

After borrowing a padded, plastic type one - food got stuck everywhere, was forever cleaning it - nightmare, then trying a clip on one - DS fell off the table in it , we gave in and bought

this one

It is fantastic, adjustable, DS uses it at the table as a high seat - without the tray - now, and can continue to use it until he is 9 (if he wants to!)
