I have got a very old and crappy phone so I am planning on getting a new one. Would quite like it to be Nokia as find these phones user friendly e.t.c. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My dp and I have just bought ourselves a couple of no frills Nokia 1100 pay as you go phones from the phones 4 u website for the bargain price of £19.95 each!!! They are on the virgin network which we went for as it only costs 3p to text each other (or any other virgin phone). If you're not into camera phones etc then I think this deal is hard to beat.

Don't get a Motorola, is my advice. Have had two and they were both crap. Predictive text really tedious (Nokia's much much better), no reminder thingy (essential to no brain mummy) and if you have kids that like to play with your phone and DROP them, they break instantly. And customer service diabolical when they are broken. Could never get the CD Rom to work on my pc and was shuttled back and forth between Motorola / T-mobile neither of whom would take the blame/replace non working CD Rom. Hate Hate Hate them and as soon as contract up going elsewhere for phone and provider.

Bitter? Twisted? Me?

Sony Ericsson W800i (the Walkman phone) is the bees' knees apparently - fantastic camera and MP3 player as well as being an actual phone.

(Three of my kids have this one now, you can imagine the confusion that causes! I suggested they each write their name on the screen with permanent marker but they weren't keen All on contract - one with O2, one with Orange and one with Vodafone)

DH has the SE 750i & loves it, quality of photos is excellent & I've got the model it superceded. I loved my little Nokia (basic one) but the Sony one's are pretty user-friendly and if you're looking for an all singing all dancing one I'd recommend them. I think your tariff/provider are just as important sometimes & tesco look pretty good for PAYG.
