Following on from the "3 wipes only" thread, which is the softest toilet paper you can do your 3 wipes with?

And do you fold or scrunch?

jamiesam · 12/01/2006 16:01

Not absolutely sure if you're taking this seriously

Dh won't buy anything except Andrex - about his only extravagance

Hattie05 · 12/01/2006 16:02

Chamin, and scrunch

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 12/01/2006 16:02

wrap it three or four times round my hand and thenyou have a nice soft pad

It drives dh mad - he uses one sheet at a time, wouldnt your fingers go through it then??? [yuk]

melrose · 12/01/2006 16:02

Always fold, do people really scrunch?? How odd. Andrex aloe vera is v nice, my Mum buys it, we only have it here if it is on special offer!

waterfalls · 12/01/2006 16:04

Personaly, I like the loo roll with flowers on

SoupDragon · 12/01/2006 16:06

One sheet!!

I remember researching this thoroughly before DS2 was borne (wanted the softes fluffiest paper money could buy for after the birth!!) and I seem to remember that Charmin came out top of my list. Kleenex velvet/quilted was a huge disappointment. And Waitrose soft is softer than tescos equivalent.

And I'm a scruncher.

Andrex quilted, folded is 1 or 2 sheets max as is soo thick! Works out cheaper as kids use less.

bundle · 12/01/2006 16:08

andrex, scrunch.

you know, i saw some izal in morrisons the other day. and lard. how quaint.

wordgirl · 12/01/2006 16:10

Charmin. Fold. And what's the rationale behind scrunching? [puzzled emoticon]

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 12/01/2006 16:10

How do you scrunch then??? like into a little ball??

SoupDragon · 12/01/2006 16:13

No, into a loose wad.

SoupDragon · 12/01/2006 16:13

Waitrose has Izal too oddly enough.

okay - I have in my hand 2 peices of tissue, a folded and a scrunched, i cant see how a scrunched would do the job!

(yes I know I am sad and have 100 other things i should be doing )

SoupDragon · 12/01/2006 16:18

Snort!

Of course it does the job, it's just not neatly folded. A loose scrunch, like those scrunchie shower thingies only smaller and less rough Double snort! Oh,I need to go and get a life... I have a million and one other things I should be doing too...

OP posts:
bundle · 12/01/2006 16:27

loose wad here too. obviously fewer sheets for dd's, don't want them to develop wasteful habits

Hattie05 · 12/01/2006 20:49

TO scrunch -

Wrap around hand a few times, tear off from roll, pull off hand and scrunch loosely. Voila!!

personally i scrunch because it seems to spread wider (less chance of ending up wiping bum with hand).

pussycatmomma · 12/01/2006 20:52

cant believe ive read it never mind joining in!
Andrex aloe vera is the nicest softest you will get, followed by an Andrex moist. Bum so clean you could have it kissed by royalty
