see here I am sick of headlice and combing, and I also have braids so can't comb my hair through after treatment, so this sounds ideal.

I've seen other reccommendations for it on MN, S'mieow, so must work for some.
I thought you were going to link to the salt treatment; it's 30% salt to 30% water & 30% shampoo; some people swear by that.

Looks interesting... I always check out the headlice threads.(need to get out more!) Also what about salt treatment... that's a new one on me. Tell me more...

That's about all I can remember, you make up the salt solution yourself, apply as you would a pesticide solution, & it's supposed to kill the blighters. How effective it is compared to just combing with conditioner, I don't know. I didn't even use conditioner most of the time, simple dry combing worked for me.

Haven't seen that one.
just getting to grips with nittygritty and tea tree conditioner every other day.
Ds had two lice today.Whereas last week prolly more like 22.
I scrub the brush in the water and then do a head count!

Been there. Tried that. Tried all the full on organo phosphates too. Nothing works except for combing. Sorry.

Spidermama · 12/01/2006 23:17

Nitty Gritty potions are useless, but the comb is a must.

MistressMary · 12/01/2006 23:20

Yeah we just use the comb.
