Does anyone know how I could read one of DH's kindle books on my own kindle? We have separate amazon accounts. Will I need to buy the book myself?

I know how to do it on iPad kindle- you deregister on your account , register as dh and upload books. They stay there when you register back but not sure if that works on kindle proper

You both need to use the same amazon account and then you can download onto more than one device as far as I know

If you deregister from an account do you lose the books you had?

And if we use the same account, we can download different books, can't we?

Like if on our shared account, DP buys history books, and I buy novels; I can choose not to have the history books on my personal Kindle, can't I?

They would just stay on the computer, right?

Oh, and what if I wanted children's books on the iTouch Kindle app? Can we share out things like that, from one account?
