Just realised I don't have a container to keep it in.

atm mine is wrapped in greaseproof paper, but iwant to get an airtight container for it.

sits on the bread board and gets eaten before it goes stale - often same day in our house!
My mum uses these special bag things from Lakeland plastics - breathable plastic type things. She washes them and reuses them so could be several years old!!
Can?? you just use a bread bin? I would avoid plastic tub as needs to breathe a little.

Right, don't have any of that either. Mind you i'm hoping it will get eaten pretty quick if it's any good.

Am quite scared of going back in the kitchen LOL

I keep mine in a freezer bag (handles loosely knotted so not quite airtight) in the old cheese box we use as a breadbin

I've got a couple of bread bag, cloth things, that I gto my tchibo ages ago. They are great as you can throw them in the washing machine.
I think my mum got the same sort of thing from lakeland.

make sure you store unused flour in an air tight container too. i had a bag at the back of the cupboard that i'd forgotton about and found that the whole kitchen had become infested with weevils

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 09/01/2006 15:00

lol - my flour is never in the bags long enough to get weevils - I make a loaf a day
