Peugeot 206 or Corsa?

I'm looking to buy a second hand car from my local garage and they have a Peugeot 206 in and a Corsa, both 03 cars (I have a small budget).
Which one would you recommend, and why?
I'm leaning towards the Peugeot at the moment.

corsa,

havent had either but my brother has a peugeot now and hates it! always having problems with it. my friend had a corsa for five years and loved it, don't think she had any problems

I love the corsa, we had an 02 one and it was excellent!! Cheap parts too!

Not the Peugeot. I've not heard good things about them from DD's boyfriend who works for a major car retailer (not Peugeot or vauxhall). We've had several Vauxhalls over the last 25 years and they've all been reliable cars.
