Need advice re i phone please

My dh claims that iphones are the most secure phone on the market, I think he means with regards to emails etc and access to remote desktop - is this really true? He has lots of really confidential information he accesses and is worried paranoid
I would have thought Blackberry was the more secure option but he is convinced this is no the case. .
Can anyone back up his claim or tell me he is wrong .
I am thinking of getting him one for Christmas.

I have posted in chat as well, wasn't sure where to post.

I have an iPhone & find it very secure. It has a good memory capacity & iCloud which helps to back-up everything. I use a varied amount of apps which I am able to purchase bits & bobs on-line & am happy with the security. If you are still uncertain..I would visit a phone retail shop & get them to talk you through the pros & cons to each model.
