Maclaren Techno XT Foot Muff

Technical question.....

What do you do with the ties at the top of the foot muff? Where to they attach to?

Dh & I are confused!!! Cant figure it out!

Any help greatly apreciated

the ties at the top -are tied to the black plastic thing at the back of the seat so the footmuff stays secure wether it's upright or flat.
