Ok i have dd who will be just over 2.5 yrs when new baby born, should i bother buying a double buggy?

Also i stupidly sold my travel system a few months ago, and now will need another...can't really afford nothing too expensive and quite like the in car bases (like what graco do, not sure if anyone else do these?

I already have a quinny zapp, so could just go for the maxi cosi car seat...i just don't know what to do tbh.

Need advice and help lol.

I had a 17mth gap between DD1 & 2 and largely managed without a double buggy. When DD2 was a tiny she was in Baby Bjorn carrier. When they get a bit bigger DD1 went on buggy board. Also had a big rucksack carriers for toddlers that we put DD1 in for long country walks. I did get a double buggy but only used it about three times.

I wouldn't bother with a travel sustem if you had a from birth buggy, i'd just get a from birth car seat. I never really used the travel system aspect to my pushchair as if we went to supermarket would transfer baby to baby seat in trolley and if out and about would take baby out of car seat and put in pushchair.

Thanks for all the help, i remember having the from birth car seat for my dd, and she wasn't in it very long...

Is the maxi cosi like that? Also the maxi cosi in car base is really expensive isn't it?

Just wish i hadn't sold my graco travel system, it was a bit crap but it would have done for a few months.

Borrow one!!?

WestCountryLass · 06/01/2006 23:26

Can you just get one of the car seats that is from birth but turns round so is also stage 2? I've got one of them, its a Britax but you do leave it in the car, its not a baby bucket type one. I used my sling a lot in the early days so did not miss having a travel system tbh.

The quinny zapp doesn't recline, so i would prob be best going for the maxi cosi (which clips onto the zapp frame)i think, but i can't justify spending £90 on a car seat alone if it won't last 2 mins.

I suppose if the worst comes to the worst i will buy a cheap travel system off ebay.

This is what i've got:

www.mothercare.com/invt/lw3188&bklist=icat,5,shop,shotravelpushchairs,tracarseatsbybrand,carbritax

From birth to 12 months + rearward facing, then forward facing up to 4 years = £90
