I'm new (ish) to having a Kindle, I read on here a while ago that you can email books for free using a free email address that you get with it.

Does anyone know how to do this? Or does anyone want to do this as none of my RL friends have Kindles yet (I know of at least 3 who are getting them for christmas)

I've done this. You go to Settings on your Kindle and you'll find your Kindle email address. It'll be something like [email protected].
You just email the files from Outlook (or whatever) to this address and they'll appear on your list.
I believe you can send pdfs but I've not tried, you can download .mobi files from websites like Smashwords. Hope this helps
