I managed to find the Princess Anneliese doll in a sale before christmas for £10. Last one on the shelf.
I know the Erika doll's have been hard to get hold of but I am on a mission to try and get dd one.
I've just looked on e-bay and people have been bidding around £30!! . Are these people totally insane??
I know I'd like to get hold of one but I'm not quite that mad.
E-bay are selling the two dolls in a set for about £50!

You can not get Erika in the shops now, eBay is the only way. TBH you were lucky to get Anneliese.

sparklymieow · 02/01/2006 18:22

I have both and I did pay 27 pounds last year for Erika

SPARKLER1 · 02/01/2006 18:24

I know. I couldn't believe it when I saw it sat on a shelf. There was a small girl playing with it while her mum was looking at something else. I was gritting my teeth behind this girls and in my mind was saying to her "put the doll down and walk away you little brat!"
I must have been standing there for about 10 minutes.
She put it down and I snatched it up straight away.

lol I have done that as well, standing behind a child, waiting and willing them to put it down. 50 pounds eh? wonder if dd1 will let me sell her two??

SPARKLER1 · 02/01/2006 18:31

If I really think about it dd probably wouldn't care less if I didn't get the other one. She is only 4 FFS. I'm probably buying it more for myself.
I'm sure your dd won't mind if you sell them - anyway £50 would pay for a night out wouldn't it?

well, I think they are rubbish together, you can't make them sing together as one is slighty out of sync. So don't worry about it.

Reminds me...Have you met DD's Hispanic Annalise and Erika?

I'm just like You!

Oooh, password is Nikki if you are asked

MaryBS · 02/01/2006 19:24

I had a friend post me an Erika from Australia!

SPARKLER1 · 02/01/2006 19:26

That's a good idea - I have a friend in Perth and also have friends in America. Guess I could ask them to keep an eye out for me.

Did it cost much?

Princess Anneliese is inthe Boots 50% off sale here - only £9.99

Sorry, no Erika of course.

SPARKLER1 · 02/01/2006 22:04

Why was the Erika one so much more popular to buy or did they make more of the Anneliese ones for some reason?

My friend in Australia and I did a gift exchange, I sent her Pickled onion Monster munch and curry pot noodle in exchange! But I believe she paid about £20 for it.

I tried a few friends in America and they couldn't get it.
