But I'm not sure whether to keep it or take it back. Having second thoughts. I really like reading books - I love the feel and smell of a new book :) but I'm weighing this up against the convenience of a lightweight kindle instead. I know several people who have kindles and they love them, but I'm still uncertain. WWYD?

Yes I think I would love it too, keeping a balance between paperbacks and the kindle. I think I just wobbled a bit because DH was with me at the time, and he's really not that keen on the idea of a kindle - he's another paperback reader. But then he didn't like the idea of an ipod either, but now uses his all the time!

I selflessly offer to take it off you hands and save you all the stress of taking it back

I love my Kindle. Now I find books too heavy and annoying, and you have to buy them from shop or wait for them to arrive from the internet, while it's truly instant gratification with a Kindle.

I think you need to view it as being in addition to books. You don't have to stop buying real books just becaUse you have an e-reader. I think the sheer convenience of being able to have a new book in seconds and carry big/many books around in s small light package is wonderful... And I am a book lover.

Go onto Amazon and browse the Kindle books.

:o fruitshoots. I've decided to keep it. I've spent most of the afternoon browsing the Amazon Kindle store, and found loads of the free books I'd like to read, so I think I'll be busy reading for quite a long time!
