DD 3.11yrs has become scared of the dark in the last few months. She is waking several times a night and crying out or coming into us because she is scared of the dark. She has a small night light but it doesn't give off much light.

Ideally need something battery operated as only one plug socket in her room and in a position where she wouldn't be able to see the night light if it were plugged in.

Not too worried about cost as happy to invest in something that will help reassure her and help her get back to sleep

So basically need something that gives off quite good light but obviously not too bright and something battery operated if possible. Thanks Smile

Just bought a Hello Kitty 3in1 torch/projector/nightlight that is the right size to put on the shelf next to DD's bed

£22 Argos

Ikea have ones you can plug in and charge up and it gives out light through the night. They had them in a blue / purple and orange really soft lights and in fun shapes if my memory serves me right.

I second the ikea night lights. I got one for travelling and it's great. Battery lasts ages, and it can either be put on one colour mode or it can cycle through several restful blues, purples. Much cheaper than all the others too....
