Amazon messed up sending me the Octopod, and I'm wondering if this isn't a stroke of luck because she has sort of outgrown Octonauts. But I'd like something playset-ish like that. Her little sister is getting the Sylvanian caravan. She's not very tomboyish - without wishing to make offensive gender generalisations - she likes monsters and bugs and dinosaurs but plays with them in a very conversational way, likes animals but doesn't like pink, babies, dolls, princesses, and most playsets seem to fall into domestic or warlike. I think Sylvania is too twee for her. We already have a lot of Playmobil, which has been very successful, but I'd like to try something different because they're getting more of that for Christmas. Any ideas, anything that's worked for you?
