Is Kindle about to disappoint me? Show me the light!

got a kindle today for my birthday today, have wanted one for ages so I can read in bed whilst breastfeeding my little one. However I can't seem to find a light. Please please tell me there is a light before I sink under my disappointment!

There is no light. You can get a case with a built in light or you can get a clip on light. Sorry.

Just get a light. I got a case and light for a tenner.

Get a case with built in light from ebay...only around 7/8 pounds! Kindle is too fab to send back and you'd want a case anyway to keep it safe and un-scuffed

I thought it needed a light because like you am used to my phone but then I realised my books don't have lights and I managed fine for 28 years with them

Ditto ScaryFairy. I do need a light though, not just for my Kindle but for my normal books too. Currently reading under the bedclothes with a torch - feel like a 9 year old!

I did that with a lamp when I was younger and burnt a hole in the duvet

a clip on light is great but if you want a case with a light then e-bay is best source

I struggled to find a case on eBay for the new kindle. I did however find a clip on kindle light in poundland for a pound (surprisingly!)

There are some cases with lights on eBay for £12. Are they any good. Saw them in Tesco yesterday - the official Amazon ones - and I nearly fainted at the price!
