Petrol smell in my car?

The last month or so I keep smelling petrol when I drive the car.

There doesn't seem to be an obvious leak anywhere and the car has been recently serviced and passed it's MOT.

Should I worry about this? Am I slowly poisoning self and dc [hshock]

It could be a blocked fuel filter. When do you notice the smell? Is it always there?

schrodingersbat · 01/11/2011 10:00

Yes, seems to be always there.

Is it something I need to get fixed urgently do you know?

Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong lately and if I can put it off until next month then that would really help.

I had a fiat punto and had the same problem. Turned out to be crack in fuel tank, had to scrap the car.
