OK - forget about the price - I want to buy a couple of pairs of jeans ( only on if they cost too much ) .... but - which are the jeans that you LOVE the MOST ???

Not the comfy / sloppy ones .... but the smart / nice fitting ones ....

Any ideas ?

Thanks

I do think it depends entirely on your shape - there's no way round it, you have to go and try loads of jeans on and see which ones fit the best!

katzglitterytree · 28/12/2005 20:11

i like monsoon for denim smart stuff, have got a fab skirt which cost me £15 in their sale a few years ago, colour has barely fadded and i wear it a lot.

Blossomgoodwill · 28/12/2005 20:14

For smartness Per Una do some nice ones too

CrystalmasJingleTips · 28/12/2005 20:17

Got a pair of Seven for all Mankind jeans for Christmas ... fantastic ... esp when compared to my old Gap ones. Honestly, I spent a year resisting the temptation to buy them cos figured it was way too much money for a pair of jeans ... but DH gave me a pair and now I'm a convert

I find Levis always the best fit for me, but I have also got some Rock and Republic jeans which area really flattering fit and I likejeans from H&M too!

LipstickMum · 30/12/2005 09:44

Millie, I was about to buy some Sevens, but they are so long in the leg. The girl in the shope said they only make them with a 34" leg. Can this be right??? Seems bizarre to me...

I'm also going to buy new jeans in the new year, I have my eye on some replay ones. What I find with jeans is that they fit me fine, but there is always a big lag around the waist at my back.

kitegirl · 30/12/2005 09:50

Diesel - got a dark denim straight leg pair which are great with heels & flat pumps

Replay does the cutest casual jeans!

kitegirl · 30/12/2005 09:55

Pruni I LOVE your business idea! if you are not going to do it I will

eldestgirl · 30/12/2005 09:58

Paul Smith for me. They just fit me, and I haven't got that huge gape thing at the back which I hate.

LipstickMum · 30/12/2005 10:28

Never tried Paul Smith. Glad to know I'm not alone with that huge gape at the back! Why do you suppose that is Eldest? Anyone else get it?

laughinglil · 30/12/2005 11:01

yes! that gap thing is so annoying!

elastamum · 30/12/2005 11:03

Armani are the only ones that fit me. They are just high enough to hold in the post baby tum without it spilling out and they fit round the waist without gaping

laughinglil · 30/12/2005 11:05

btw i think french connection are the best jeans.. however i love my primark ones too can't go wrong for £8!

suzi2 · 30/12/2005 11:06

My current faves are from Littlewoods .

NomDePlumPudding · 30/12/2005 11:09

I like Miss Selfridge ones and I bought some from Monsoon recently and they fit like a glove. Both cuts suit my figure (curvy 12, 32" inside leg).

TurqtheHeraldAngelsSing · 30/12/2005 11:12

If you're near London, the Levi store in Oxford st has a magic computerised pod thingy that checks you out and tells you the exact right jeans for your size.
Failing that, I'm similar sizing to NDP and second Monsoon (just got a great pair in the sale), but my all time favourites are Guess.

NomDePlume · 30/12/2005 12:15

The only problem with my Monsoon jeans is that I have to wash them separately from everything else because the deep indigo dye runs something chronic !
