Bought DD (3y4m) one of these for Christmas, this year. She loved it on sight, but having had it out of the box etc, I now see that it is a complete rip off. The 'skin' of the horse is lilac, the make up provided is lilac so that it disappears when you out it on the horse . Utterly pointless. Both DD and I have tried to brush the hair but the knots are so stubborn and the hair is such dodgy quality that it just comes out in the brush if you pull it even slightly. DD is so frustrated with the hair that she has thrown the head across the living room in a fit of pique. I don't blame her, it's a flippin rip off.

'put' it on the horse

dd loves hers but it is very very plasticy and she has lost almost all the jewels and hair clip things. She's still playing with the lip gloss and the hair colour changer thing. It is certainly even more vile out of the packet than it appears in the box.

I bought one for dd but luckily didn't have to try very hard to get it. The stick on bits lose their stick. The clips are too fiddly. The hair colour tong thing is just rubbish, I could go on. I must agree, a waste of money.

Wouldn't you be even more upset if you had searched high and low for one.

my daughter always combs her 'bratz' dolls hair and we put a little bit of serum on it every now and then... do you have any that you could try??

LadyTophamHatt · 28/12/2005 17:19

oh, I'm sooo glad I've got boys!

That thing sounds vile.

(BTW NdP we move next thursday...it's finally happening. have you taken yours off the market snow?)

Bought one each for the twins and they like it but the hair is notty and the lip gloss useless. Everything else needs hot or icy cold water

NomDePlumPudding · 28/12/2005 17:24

I've got detangling spray but i'm a bit wary of putting that on just incase it affects the colour change stuff in the hair. DD is very disappointed with the jewels, she doesnn't understand why you can only stick them on once . I didn't have to hunt for it, but I'd be really annoyed if I had.

LTH, ours is still officially on. Our 28 day notice period expires on Jan 6th, so the boards etc will come down then. We actually had the Estate Agent 'phone us on XMAS EVE asking whether we'd do a viewing with about 2 hours notice ! Told em to take a hike.

Knotty

santabops · 28/12/2005 17:40

I agree RUBBISH and a RIP OFF but dd still likes it!

Enideepmidwinter · 28/12/2005 18:01

dd1 loves hers

has carefully done hair and make up and arranged stickers

now it is sitting on the shelf in her room where it will stay I expect

tillykins · 28/12/2005 18:04

Is that the terrifying purple horses head? Gay Godfather nightmare time?
How much was it, it looked horrendous when I saw it

NomDePlumPudding · 28/12/2005 18:10

lol, that's the one tillykins. I paid £24.95 for mine from The Entertainer but Argos were selling them for £19.99 and they sold on ebay for as much as £60

we already knew it was hideous when we bought it as my neice already had it but my dds love it, so it was worth it.

Does anyone else glance at this thread tite and briefly think it's about ripping Barbie's head off?
